Wer ein M5 '95 Limousine hat???

mhh, ich habe einen 21.12.1994 wenn das noch zählt

Fin: Gd64598
Derzeit hat es ein 5GG, aber original ist ein 6GG verbaut gewesen.

zeig mal her dein register!

Hallo

Entschuldige bitte die dumme Frage, aber was ist so besonders an den 95`er Emmis, dass man dafür extra ein Register führt?
Ein Touring-Register oder ein Schweden/Schweizer/Östereicher-Register verstehe ich ja noch.
Ich würde es auch nicht verstehen, wenn jemand ein
- 4-Sitzer-Register
- Klimaautomatik-Register
- Heckrollo-Register
- 18"-Register
o.ä. führen würde.
Vielleicht kannst Du mich ja aufklären!?
Auf jeden Fall möchte ich Dir aber den Spass nicht verderben

this is perhaps not for me to answer, -Daniel- will have to answer for himself - (I deal with the M5touring registry and the -special models of the E34 M5 - as a side-project), just some thoughts thow:
- the M5touring-registry - 891 cars built- has become a pretty time-
consuming effort, it is in fact almost getting too much -
- to start a registry for 12.000+ cars appears as a 'mission impossible'
- the E34 M5 3.8 6-speed of 1995-year-model is an upgrade-version and
generally considered as 'top of the line' and a seperate issue compared to
the other -generations- of E34 M5, 3.6, 3.8 5-speed, M5touring 5 + 6 speed
- somebody on this forum has already started a -registry- for the
RHD 3.8 6-speeds (RHD i.e. not necessarily UK only !!) -
- a registry for the 95-6-speeds only is still for a controllable number of cars
but as soon as that is 'ready'?, I have a feeling that -Daniel- will continue
with another task but you have to start somewhere
- I seem to remember that someone has come a long way with a registry
for the US-cars -
- why not ? it is his time that goes down the drain......

the M5touring had 4 (four) production years, total units built = 891,
whereof 209 were of the much appreciated 95-year-model.

what makes the 95 year-model E34 M5/M5touring special ??
It represents the last production-year of the 'best-sport-saloon-car-in- the-world' and also the end of an era of an engine family which started back in 1968 with the straight-six used in the 2800 E3-saloon (CSL, M1, 635 CSi, M5) -
what factory-standards does the 95-year-modell have compared to the
previous model-years ?
- 6-speed-Getrag-gear-box-
- Nuerburg-Ring suspension package (minus -servotronic- which became a
pay-option)
- 18"-M-parallel-wheels (5x)
- wide kidney-front with matching hood (same as M60/V8-cars)
- 345/328 mm Compound-Floating-Disc-brake-package (///M-motor-sport)
- side indicators
- new pay-option list and new colour-choices and interiors
Apparantly in an effort to increase the down-going sales-rates until the final end of production the 95-year-model was introduced to the market as an 'uppgrade-model' and BMW launched a new broschure for this modell specifically pointing out the changes made. In some markets the car was
offered as an 'evolution-model' (France, Italy) but apparantly without the back-up from BMW AG.

The 50 UK LE cars are in fact the last 50 RHD-production cars. There was in fact a plan for a 'dedication'-car but this was cancelled to reasons not known.
These cars do not differ from the other E34 M5 RHD-cars of 95-year-modell
except for external colour and interior choice. These are NOT an official special ///M-model or a ///M-edition-car, they are officially 'Individual'-cars
ordered to specific specifications by BMW GB from BWM-Individual.
They are however generally accepted as the UK LE-cars. There is more to tell but perhaps another time.

Whether the 95-year-modell of the E34 M5/M5touring-production is in any way special compared to the other years production of the same car appears somehow obvious to me but I do -of course- respect if anyone out there has a different view.

The 95 M5 are the sad end of a great time, that is indisputable. And especially the compound-break. I also would like to have this breaksystem.

Die -grosse- Bremse ist schon gut, jedenfalls fuer die Strasse..

Die ganze Idee stammte von BMW GB. Leider wollte wohl die BMW AG da nicht mitgespielen . Schade sonst hätte es eben auch einen 'dedication 3.8 gegeben' (wie die 3.6 Winkelhock + Cecotto) allerdings mit dem Lenkrad auf der falschen Seite .

Es gibt uebrigens 404 LHD/95or M5 Limousinen + 209 M5touring + 139 RHD
und -Daniel- arbeitet also einem Register ueber die 404 LHD/6-speeds.
Helfe ihm wer will !!!!!!
(Auch fuer M5touring-tips sind wir immer dankbar
