Hello - Question about a E34 M5

can anyone here check any information about this car?

I'm quite intrested to buy it. It's in good condition but not perfect. It requires some body work.

It's a (full stock) Nurburgring edition.

What's the value of these cars?

5.000 (condition "4") - 25.000 ("condition 2") I´d say. "Good condition but not perfect" might be somewhere around condition 3 so I´d say up to 12.000,-- which includes an extra 4 k for the "Winkelhock".

Just in case:

Condition 2 means less than 100 k km, no damage or rust anyplace, everything running perfect.
Condition 4 means complete but in every respect lots of work to do.

Some more thoughts:

Buying an E34 M5 as a long time keeper normally means to learn all the technology by yourself. The more you can do yourself the better. Even if you go to a repair shop, you should be able to tell them in detail what to do. On the other hand you have a true driving machine offering lots of fun; and earlier or later they won´t be available anymore.

The last handmade, the last inline-sex-cylinder which is a direct successor to the M49 (E9 CSL) and the M88 (M1, M635CSI, M5).

Wow, I did not even know it was A Winckelhock.
Can I find out if it's an original Winckelhock? Where can I see that?

I only knew about the Nurburgring package.

I'm looking around and I found out that Winckelhock is original Jet Black (668).
They also don't have FOG Lights and Headlight Washers.
This car is DAYTONA-VIOLETT METALLIC (283), and has fog lights and the headlight washers, so it's not a REAL Winckelhock I assume.
I will continue reading.

Das ist ein recht umfangreich ausgestatteter, früher (92er) M5 3.8 (z.B. Klimaautomatik, AUC, Standheizung).
Weit weg von einem Winckelhock

Die Vordersitze sind nicht original.
Wie Sitze aus einem Winckelhock sehen sie aber irgendwie auch nicht aus.

There is no such thing called Nürburgring Edition. Full stop. There was the Nürburgring Fahrwerkspaket which included a thicker stabi and 255 rear wheels AFAIK. Your car has that package like many other have it too...

What is the Nürburgring Package?
Though the Adaptive M Suspension was fitted to all 3.8-liter M5s, those produced before May of 1994 could be upgraded with the optional Nürburgring Package, named after the famous road course (and BMW proving ground) in north-west Germany. The package consisted of the following items:
-ZF Servotronic vehicle-speed sensitive power steering (also offered as an individual option)
-Thicker rear anti-roll bars (19mm on sedans, 20mm on Tourings)
-Wider 9x17-inch alloy wheels with 255/40ZR17 rear tires (already standard on the M5 Touring)
-A control switch for the Adaptive M Suspension, allowing the EDC shocks to be locked in to their firmest position.

This package was discontinued with the introduction of the six-speed E34 M5 in May of 1994, which featured the thicker rear anti-roll bars, staggered wheels (now in 18-inch form) and switchable shocks as standard equipment. However, the Servotronic steering assist remained an individual option.

So according to you, it's not rare at all?

Usually people call it Nürburgring Edition to get a better price indicating its something rare and sought after

Yes you are right. Package.

To be honest, i still think S782A is a little special, after some googeling.

So what do YOU think this car is worth? The price is 8500.
I will make some better pictures.
A friend of mine is a very good painter.
What if I gave it a perfect respray, will it lose all it's value?
Or does it increase?

Okay I have just visited the M5.

Some info:

- The car has full history
- Paint is in very bad state. Needs a respray for sure.
- The car has once been stolen in the past, and found back. The chassisnr has been engraved in each window by BMW Bornem.
- It has some weird carjack / startblocking system.
- The current rear wheels are not in a bad stage, but two new rear wheels are provided.
